<p><strong>Rising costs are squeezing families, seniors, and young people, and a more affordable Eastchester starts with leadership willing to fight for our fair share.</strong></p><p><span style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">1. <strong style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">Build real relationships at every level of government, regardless of party</strong>, so we stop missing the county and state programs that lower costs for residents.</span></p><p><span style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">2. <strong style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">Compete aggressively for grants</strong> that fund infrastructure upgrades, road improvements, and community investments, so residents aren't footing the entire bill.</span></p><p>3. <span style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">Coordinate with Tuckahoe and Bronxville</strong></span> on the roads, services, and infrastructure we share, so we plan smarter and spend less.</p><p><strong>When Eastchester stops leaving money on the table, residents get more for what they already pay.</strong></p>

<p><strong>Our streets should be safe for kids walking to school, seniors crossing an intersection, and families out for a weekend stroll.</strong></p><p>1. <span style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">Close the gap between the villages and the rest of the town. </strong></span>Bronxville and Tuckahoe have invested in walkability. Unincorporated Eastchester hasn't seen that same commitment from Town Hall, and residents feel the difference every day.</p><p>2. <span style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">Go after the funding</strong></span> that makes school routes, crossings, and sidewalks safer, dollars Eastchester has been missing out on while traffic and congestion get worse.</p><p>3. <span style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);"><strong style="color: var(--color-text); text-decoration-color: var(--color-text);">Bring traffic calming</strong></span> to the corridors where speeding and congestion are worst.</p><p><strong>When residents and all three communities plan our shared streets together, families get safer routes instead of disconnected fixes.</strong></p>
